MUSC 330 - Arts Administration Students will explore the organization and administrative workings of performing arts groups, including symphony orchestras, choral ensembles, chamber music ensembles, folk, jazz and rock bands, theaters, and festival programs. Lectures, individual readings, in class presentations by students, and guest presentations will focus primarily on the non-profit arts sector with specific areas of study to include arts marketing and communications, development and fundraising, artistic programming, financial management, artist management, and other related areas. Outside presenters from various area arts organizations will share insight into their careers in the arts as well as challenges they face in their roles and communities. Students will interact with local arts organizations and concentrate on a specific genre for their final projects.
