CI 700 - Creative Industries

Digital technologies are transforming how, when, where and by whom creative content is produced, distributed, consumed and experienced. We will take up several case studies to consider how they have, somewhat paradoxically, democratized and industrialized creative innovation, creative labor,
artistic production and intellectual property. Like the creative industries, the course will be project-based and will emphasize the importance of both basic digital literacy and data literacy.
