This connection brings together two courses with a shared focus on film as an expressive form and a social practice. Connecting the creative production of original filmic works with the critical study of the cinema, the connection forges a disciplinary synthesis between film practice, film theory and film history. Students in the connection will learn the craft of film- making and explore the socio-historical and cultural contexts that shape and are shaped by this creative labor.
