Art and mathematics are both forms of communication. The concept of visual language as communication is explored in ART 111 . This connection takes the idea of communication through design and extends it to communication through mathematics, exploring the intersection of the visual language with the language of mathematics. Several topics linking math and 2D representation are symmetry, tessellations, line drawings and fractals.
