• MUSC 209 - Western Music I: Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque

Eighteen additional credits:

• Four credit Ethnomusicology course at the 300-level chosen from:
  • MUSC 309 Music Nationalism and Identity  
  • MUSC 315 Politics of Movement  
• Eight elective credits at the 200-level or above
• One year (4 credits) of performance study
• One year (2 credits) of ensemble credit performance

Notes

Students who place out of MUSC 114  or MUSC 115  through proficiency tests must take electives within the MUSC course offerings (not MUSP performance courses) to maintain the 46 credits required for the music major.
