ANTH 226 - Anthropology of Art This course considers art as diverse as Maori canoe prows, Warhol’ Pop, aboriginal sand drawings, gang graffiti, Tibetan tangkas, children’ finger painting and Mapplethorpe’ photographs from an anthropological perspective, asking: Why do humans make art?
