PHYS 251 - Communicating Physics The Communicating Physics course focuses on how to write, display, and share the results of scientific research. It is designed to be taken concurrently with the research experience course, because students will use the results of their research projects as material for the communications workshop. This course will help students to build professional communication skills appropriate for a technical and scientific audience, as well as translating technical and scientific results to create engaging content for the general public. Modes of communication covered in this course will include abstracts, scientific papers, poster presentations, slide presentations, charts, and infographics.
Prerequisites PHYS 171 Introductory Physics II or PHYS 180 Enhanced Introductory Physics I or PHYS 181 Enhanced Introductory Physics II
Corequisites PHYS 250 Research Experience in Physics
