The Calculus of Microeconomics - 20004
|
|
Microeconomics becomes all the more interesting when techniques from calculus can be applied to many of the issues it addresses. In particular, the graphic representation of marginal analysis, continuity and optimization in microeconomics can be approached analytically through the tools of differentiation, the major topic in introductory calculus. Many examples and projects in the introduction calculus offered in MATH 101 will have a basis in economics; problem sets and class time in ECON 102 /ECON 112 will involve application of the calculus.
