Psychology Major

The major consists of at least 48 credits. To declare a major in Psychology, a student must have completed or be currently enrolled in PSY 101.

Major requirements

Eight credits in:

PSY 101 - Introductory Psychology or a score of 4 or 5 on the AP Psychology exam
PSY 202 - Quantitative Research Methods

Four credits in a Statistics course chosen from:

Four credits in a Biological Perspectives course chosen from:

Four credits in a Developmental and Clinical Perspectives course chosen from:

Four credits in a Cognitive Perspective course chosen from:

Four credits in a Sociocultural Perspective course chosen from:

Eight credits at the 300-level chosen from:

Eight elective credits chosen from:

Two courses selected from any psychology offering listed above that are not already being used towards one of the other psychology major requirements.

Four credits in a 400-level Research Capstone chosen from:

Offered Senior year only
