• Sixteen credits in Computer Science courses

• COMP 115 - Problem Solving and Python Programming
• COMP 118 - Object-Oriented Programming
• COMP 218 - Data Structures
• Four credit 300-level Computer Science course (talk to your advisor for the most appropriate choice)

• Eight credits in Mathematics courses:

• MATH 151 - Introduction to Data Science or BIO 241 Biological Data Analysis  

• and

• MATH 241 - Theory of Probability or MATH 251 Methods of Data Analysis  

Electives

Eight credits chosen from the list below. Four credits must be at the 300 level.

Note: COMP 318  - Algorithms, is strongly recommended.

Four credit Capstone

The Capstone is required and is determined by faculty in your area of interest from among the following:

• BIO 401 - Senior Seminar
• CHEM 405 - Senior Seminar in Biochemistry
• Approved research at the 399, 499, or 500 Honors Thesis level

Per college policy, only one course may be overlapped between between a major and a minor. 

A course taken at Wheaton College that receives a grade of “Pass” (P) may not be used to fulfill a requirement in the major, except under special circumstances.
