Business (Master of Science)

Upon completion of the Masters of Science in Business program, students will be able to:

Integrate interdisciplinary theories and information to analyze and develop cross-discipline business solutions

Demonstrate foundational knowledge of core business components, theories, and processes and the ability to apply them in practical, real-life organizational problems

Demonstrate awareness and articulation for cross-culture competencies and understand how diversity, equality, and inclusion impact the global business environment

Demonstrate understanding and execution of ethical decisions in organizations that promote care and social responsibility

Work collaboratively and lead effectively diverse teams in a global business environment

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to different stakeholders, including managers and executives

Degree Structure and Experience
The Masters of Science in Business will consist of a total of 8 courses/32 credit hours in the following structure:
- Two four-credit courses taken during the senior year
- Two four-credit courses taken online in the summer following graduation.
- Four four-credit courses taken in the fifth year (2 in the Fall and 2 in the Spring).
Students will build an e-portfolio over the course of their entire time in this program. This will be done utilizing WordPress which is an industry standard content management system and already in place at Wheaton. Coursework throughout the major will build and add to their portfolio.
Students pursuing the M.S. in Business must have completed the following courses or their equivalents prior to their senior year:

Students select a two course concentration (either Arts Management or Sustainable Business) to augment their core business courses and gain in-depth understanding of an industry and the key business practices in that industry.
