Legal Studies Minor

Minor requirements

The minor in Legal Studies consists of a minimum of 20 credits. Of these, at least one must be at the 300-level.

Philosophy - at least two of the following

PHIL 265 - Philosophy of Law
PHIL 298 - Philosophy of Race and Racism
PHIL 321 - Resisting Structural Injustice

Political Science - at least two of the following

POLS 247 - Law and Crisis
POLS 291 - Judicial Politics
POLS 309 - International Law and Organization
POLS 341 - Constitutional Law: The Supreme Court
POLS 351 - Constitutional Law: Civil Rights and Civil Liberties

Legal Studies

One other legal studies course selected from above or from another department, with appropriate approval

Note:

Although it is possible to take only courses in Philosophy and Political Science, courses from related fields, including Sociology and Psychology, may be included or substituted with Philosophy Department approval.
