The major in Sociology consists of 36 credits. There are twenty credits in core course requirements that students must take. All core courses in the major must be taken for a grade (courses taken with grade/pass/fail designations will not be counted toward completion of the major). In addition to the core courses, students should take sixteen additional credits. Four credits or more of these should be taken at the 300-level. Students may count one of the additional courses grade/pass/fail as long as it is not at the 300-level course.
