Biochemistry is a versatile field that provides students with a solid foundation for pursuing pathways in the health professions, biomedical research, environmental science and other careers. Students considering majoring in biochemistry are encouraged to consult with one of the biochemistry program advisors early in their academic career to facilitate the planning process. Courses taken pass/fail may not be used to fulfill requirements in the Biochemistry major.
