BIO 298 - Research Experience in Systems This course will guide students through a hands-on research project exploring the processes responsible for biodiversity in microbial communities. Students will work together to investigate the background behind their microbial system and pose testable hypotheses about how the system works. They will then design and carry out an experimental plan to test their hypothesis. Over the course of the semester, students will develop skills in critical thinking, teamwork, planning, and data analysis. This course satisfies the requirements for Sophomore Experience if taken during the Sophomore year. It must be taken at the same time as BIO 098, Science Communication.
Prerequisites Prerequisites: BIO 111 or BIO 112 or BIO 114 or AP/IB credit.
