EDUC 298 - Trauma and Its Impact on Learning

Over ⅔ of children experience at least one kind of trauma by age 16. During this course, we will explore the ways that trauma impacts children at various developmental stages and across various domains of development. We will focus particularly on the impact of trauma on learning, how to work with children in classroom settings in ways that foster healing and safety, and how to care for ourselves as we care for others who have experienced trauma.
