HIST 110 - Ancient Egypt, Greece and Mesopotamia Surveys Western societies from prehistory and the Neolithic Revolution (c. 3000 BCE) to spread of the Macedonian Empire and of Hellenism under Alexander the Great (d. 323 CE). Societies under study include ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Neo-Assyria, Neo-Babylonia, Hebrew, and Greece. Among the topics covered are power, gender, family, religion, war, and development of art and ideas.
