FNMS 355 - Global Cinemas How has cinema “gone global”? This course explores how globalization has impacted the way films are made, circulated and received in an increasingly interconnected world system. Through specific case studies, we will examine how transnational circuits of cultural exchange have dramatically transformed the world’s media landscape, giving rise to a global imaginary with profound implications for the construction of identity.
