PHYS 160 - Geology The origin, evolution and behavior of the Earth, the processes that shape the Earth today and investigation of the geologic record to see how these processes have operated in the past. Topics include earthquakes, volcanoes, erosion, rocks and minerals, the interior of the Earth, Earth history and plate tectonics. Laboratories and field trips to investigate local geology are included.
