ANTH 250 - Political Anthropology What is power and what are the many forms in which we can see it being exercised? This course starts by exploring the evolution of political structures from stateless societies to advanced civilizations. We will analyze some classic anthropological studies of local political systems in different parts of the world and then shift our focus to how changes in the global economy affect citizens in such areas as employment, immigration, health and human rights.
