POLS 298 - Contested Homelands in the Holy Land

This course will provide an overview of the history of political tension and violence in Israel and Palestine and address the various attempts to resolve it and end the occupation. It will present key historical moments of the conflict through multiple perspectives and interpretations and analyze conflicting claims of truth, justice, history, and ownership. Finally, it will examine media coverage to evaluate how it shapes our perception of the critical issues, the players, and the history.
