FNMS 298 - Acting for Film Students in this course will be introduced to the internal and external demands of turning psychology into behavior for the purposes of capturing a performance on film. Students will develop techniques for creating truthful, nuanced performances that translate effectively on camera and in the edit, such as playing objectives, personalizing material, and listening. Key topics include adapting stage acting for the camera, breaking down scripts for performance, understanding continuity, and working with directors. The class will collaborate with students in FNMS 360 Production II to film scenes and projects both inside and outside of class.
