DMC 298 - Communication & Cultural Diversity This course examines the complex intersections of communication, culture, and identity, exploring how media and other forms of representation shape and reflect diverse social experiences. It will interrogate how race, class, gender, and other identities influence and are influenced by media and cultural narratives. Students will engage with key theories and methodologies of media critique and communication studies, gaining a foundational vocabulary for analyzing communication across different cultural contexts. Through critical readings, discussions, assignments, and projects, students will critically examine the relationships between media production, distribution, and representation.
