BIO 230 - Biology of Sharks and Rays In this course, we will explore the diversity of elasmobranch fishes (sharks, skates, and rays), in terms of evolution, phylogeny, physiology, biomechanics, behavior, and ecology. We will also look at the relationship between humans and elasmobranch fishes and current conservation issues. The course will include at least one field trip and some in-class laboratory activities. Three hours lecture per week.
Prerequisites BIO 114 Introduction to the Biological Sciences
