ESCI 160 - Geology

The origin, evolution and behavior of the Earth, the processes that shape the Earth today and investigation of the geologic record to see how these processes have operated in the past. Topics include earthquakes, volcanoes, erosion and the role of water in shaping the earth, rocks and minerals, Earth history, and plate tectonics. Laboratories and field trips to investigate local geology are included.
