MATH 301 - Real Analysis This course generalizes the ideas of functions of a single real variable to broadly understand the meaning of mathematical spaces and functions between them. Much more than simply an advanced treatment of topics from calculus, this course uses beautiful and deep results about topics such as the Cantor set, n-dimensional metric spaces, and continuous functions to build a framework suitable to exploring surprising results bumping up against the edges of Topology.
Prerequisites MATH 104 and MATH 211 or permission of instructor
