CW 288 - Playwriting: Form and Craft This course will begin with exercises prompting you to write monologues and scenes that will help to uncover your individual playwriting voice and innate style. As the semester progresses, and through reading published plays in multiple styles and forms, you will determine which of your early scenes you might want to develop into a play. All of this will happen in a workshop setting where your scenes will be read aloud by classmates and you’ll have the opportunity to hear each other’s works-in-progress as we shift to conversations about deepening character, refining language and building a dramatic arc.
