RUSS 198 - Continuing Beginning Russian Continuing Beginning Russian is a new course in the Beginning Russian sequence. It is distinct from RUSS 110 and RUSS 111, and complements them. Materials will be drawn from our standard beginning textbook and other textbooks, from short texts or articles, from internet and video sources, and from current affairs. Like the other two Beginning courses, this course proceeds by thematic units (new ones: your studies, the weather, food, etc) and develops the students’ key language skills: comprehension, reading, writing, speaking, and cultural awareness.
Credits 4
Notes From time to time, departments design a new course to be offered either on a one-time basis or an experimental basis before deciding whether to make it a regular part of the curriculum. First offered Spring 2025.
