ENG 298 - Graphic Stories This course is tasked with defining and theorizing comics as a genre, medium, and culturally-informed art form. Readings will include the work of Marjane Satrapi, considerations of the Batman mythos, research from Scott McCloud, as well as historical and multi-cultural perspectives on, what famed cartoonist Will Eisner called, “sequential art.” Planned assignments will be both critical and creative.
