PSY 498 - Capstone in Cognitive Neuroscience This laboratory course is designed to provide hands-on experience to contemporary research in cognitive neuroscience using EEG (electroencephalography). This course focuses on scientific report writing, the logic of the scientific method, research design, and reading from the scientific literature. Students will use the EMOTIV portable EEG devices to directly measure brain function for lab sessions and for research projects. Students will participate in the design, implementation, and analysis of EEG experiments, and will present research and write research reports. The best way to learn about research in cognitive neuroscience is to do it, there is no substitute for experience. The prerequisites for this course are Math 141 and PSY 202.
