ENG 279 - Writing as a Way of Observing Life Writers in every discipline cultivate their ability to observe, often as the first step in writing. They are able to take anything from the mundane, the ordinary or the unbelievable and observe what makes it unique or something worth sharing. Through observation, discoveries are made, stories are told, memories are preserved and life is documented. In this writing course, students will study examples of writing that exemplify the art of observation. Students will also focus on their own observation skills and put them into practice in their writing. Peer review and workshop will be an integral part of this course. (Suitable for first-year students.)
