COMP 350 - Systems and Multi-Programming


The central concept explored in this course is the process, an instance of a program in execution. The course examines the ways the operating system facilitates the management of processes and the services it provides to processes. Students will also learn how to write programs that create new processes, and programs that create multiple threads of execution within a single process to take advantage of modern multi-core processors.

COMP 218 Data Structures  with a grade of D+ or better
