MATH 261 - Modeling and Simulation in R Mathematical modeling and computer simulation are integral parts of data science, allowing decision makers to understand systems inaccessible through traditional approaches. Models include: customers/servers order processing (queuing/waiting time, inventory), disease (SIR, epidemic), financial (stock/option pricing), and computer games. General topics include: random number generation, probability, statistical analysis, optimization, verification, and validation. Implementation uses the R programming language.
