MGMT 298 - Business Communications


This course is an introduction to the principles of effective communication skills and writing skills within a business context. The course is designed to prepare students to create analytical responses, resume portfolios (including cover letter development), and essential business correspondence. A philosophical foundation (based on Aristotle’s Principles of Rhetoric) for communication is established through a range of readings and exercises and in class discussions. Emphasis is placed on building business communication skills to enhance your experience in the workplace and to increase your range of employability.
