MATH 398 - Optimization An introduction to methods for optimization in the context of modeling decision problems with constraints. Applications in medicine, finance, manufacturing are among those where constrained optimization techniques inform the efficiency of operating processes. Topics include: linear and nonlinear programming, simplex method, duality theory, dynamic programming, and incorporating uncertainty.
