HIST 262 - History of China This course surveys Chinese history from the prehistoric era to the present. It highlights issues that are central to understand Chinese civilization and China’s ascent to superpower, such as the rise and fall of dynasties, philosophical traditions, transnational encounters, ethnic tensions, wars and revolutions, and contemporary China in a global context.
