SOC 215 - Working: Society and the Meanings of Work What role does work play in people’s lives? Why is work organized the way that it is? Should it or can it be changed? How does work affect the way that people treat each other? Can work be controlled and managed? This course will address these questions while investigating the social, political and cultural forms of work in the U.S. and Japan. This course is offered infrequently.
