PHYS 170 - Introductory Physics I The principles of Newtonian Mechanics, including Kinematics, Newton’s Laws of Motion, and Conservation Laws (energy, momentum and angular momentum) applied to linear and two-dimensional systems. Emphasis on problem-solving. Lab and Lecture combined. Significant group work required. Recommended for students in science, mathematics and engineering dual-degree programs. No previous work in physics is assumed.
