MGMT 250 - Accounting In today’s business environment, knowledge with regard to the financial numbers as well as the analysis of financial statements plays a critical role in an organizations success. This course is designed to introduce students to principles guiding financial management. Students will develop an understanding of the overall accounting cycle including basic concepts and terminology. In addition, the goal is to realize the inherent value that accounting brings to organizations. Financial statements will be created and students will learn how these, along with the detailed accounting functions, provide a mechanism to record and communicate an organization’s financial position and help to foster better decision-making.
