ENV 360 - Conservation Science The fate of humanity and the rest of the natural world are intertwined. In this course, we will learn the often disturbing history of conservation biology, and how its goals, values, and practitioners have changed over time. We will then examine the science, methods, trade-offs, and controversies that
underlie our attempts thus far to conserve biological diversity. Throughout, we will include themes of environmental justice and the interrelationships between humans and the natural world. This course includes a lab section where students will practice methods used in this field.
